Grants Year 2021 in Mallorca for Solar Energy

The General Director of Energy of the Government of the Balearic Islands has just presented the Grants for years 2021, 2022 and 2023 to promote Renewable Energies in the different Balearic Islands, the main purpose of these Subsidies is to promote Photovoltaic Self-consumption Installations, as well as the accumulation of energy in Lithium Batteries.

These Subsidies are based on the recently approved RD 477 / 2021 by the Spanish Government. And on 11 September 2021, the Balearic Government proceeded to publish in the BOIB, extending and detailing for the specific case of the Balearic Islands such subsidies.

Following the approval of the regulations on energy self-consumption in 2019, several autonomous communities in Spain have launched subsidies for the installation of solar panels for self-consumption in 2021 and 2022, as well as aid or discounts on the payment of taxes to help and deploy solar photovoltaic installations, to take advantage of electricity self-consumption with this type of technology and thus contribute to the decarbonisation of our country.

On 29 June 2021, the Spanish Government published in Royal Decree 477 / 2021 the new subsidies for renewable energy installations, mainly based on photovoltaic technology and also with grants for the acquisition of lithium batteries.
